Raskality is a dancehalll/reggae artiste from the island of Trinidad and Tobago. He became known initially as one of the members of the Millionaire Family- a group of talented artistes out of Trinidad and Tobago.
Raskality’s got his first break in the music industry in 2009 with the stirring reggae single “I Promise”, and has since released several singles along with an independent album in 2010, entitled, “Expensive Style”. In 2011 he collaborated with a Russian producer called El’ Toro and together they recorded and produced a number of songswhoch essentially resulted in the release of an EP called “Dem Fi Know” with a European version title “Protect Me” which is available on iTunes.
This young artiste’s love and passion for the art of music has seen him create a unique style of Dancehall/Reggae blended with Hip-Hop. He has promised supporters that 2016 will be a different year, this as he plans up on unleashing a seven track EP that will highlight this new fusion of beats and melodies that he’s now proud to deliver. The first track off the EP has been released. Dubbed DNK” an acronym for “Dem Never Know”, the single features T&T reggae and VP recording artiste Jamelody, alongside dancehall sensation, Fadda Moses.
DNK was produced by Trinidhalons Tobago Hip Hop producer DLL, who successfully fused hip hop and dancehall/reggae with a Sizzla sample on one track. The final sound delivered is fresh, rhythmic and urban- laced with conscious lyrics that speak of the struggle people go through to make their dreams a reality. The song encourages positive thinking and self-belief, two very strong messages the world requires at this time for upliftment. The track’s video is currently being crafted with plans for further music releases off the EP in quick succession of this initial release.
Recorded Tuesday, 29th March, 2016, Trinidad.
