“Come to Africa….. a nubian renaissance”
Lons fashions is a hub of imported fashion options in the Barataria community. Londa Young has been merchandizing her exquisite fashion tastes for the past twelve years. She has honed her flair for fashion buying by catering exclusively, with customised care details for her loyal clients. One of her specialty events, over the years has been a customer appreciation exhibition and showcase.
On the 18th December, 2016, at her emporium at 28th Fourth Street Barataria, at poolside, Lons Fashion launched “Come to Africa….. a nubian renaissance”.
It featured a wide cross section of North American power-house designer labels – Calvin Klein, Ivanka Trump, Whitehouse Blackmarket, Talbots, Tahari, Ann Klein, Spense, New York and Co, Kaspar, Harvey Bernard, Michael Kors, J Howard, Joe Fresh, Eliza J and introduced afrocentric Trinidadian style – Afodesiack by Athaliah Samuel, Mahogany Stuff by Julia Clarke, Soronko by Lisa White and Lons is introducing her original African print fabrics in simple silhouettes. What a treat it was for the Christmas season and with a special Kwanzaa highlight.
The presentation was under the creative direction of Richard Young, with distinctive talent features – Kizzy Ruiz, Terri Lyons, 2NTRIGUE, Marilyn Williams, Margaret Alexis and Dane Gulston.
