Tanya Mathura, founder of Let’s Go Trinidad and Tobago, is in the business of  creating impressions that last using creative design and innovation to brand and promote a Trinidad and Tobago ethos. One of the latest initiatives to develop and promote local lifestyle is fashion tours.
 Let’s Go Trinidad and Tobago held its fifth fashion tour this year during bridal season in partnership with Trinidad Weddings which is owned and founded by Simone Sant Ghuran and has a wide range of services to offer brides, like bridal parties, wedding guests and bridal vendors. Together these two brands hosted a Bridal Fashion “Tour” on  Saturday 27th May 2017.
The bridal fashion tour  consisted of stopping at several bridal fashion designer ateliers in Port of Spain and environs. Patrons who came on the tour got the opportunity to appreciate a variety of styles ranging from contemporary, vintage, unconventional to Indian bridal fashion and bridal fashion accessories.
The cast  of designers included A-list names like Neha Dawar of the fashion label Neha Karina. Neha offers Indo Trinidadian designs in lavish silks and intricate embellishments. Her boutique is also a one stop shop for makeup, hairdressing and styling services for the bride and her bridal party. In addition, honeymooners and guests can find modern Indo Trinidadian resort wear to attend the destination wedding at Neha Karina..
London College of Fashion graduate, Charu Lochan Dass of the fashion house CLD was the next fashion stop. She showed her latest collection in resort bridal wear to the group. Her pieces also range from prêt a porter to resort for jetsetter couples who are interested in styling up for their vow renewal.
Another stop was at Monday Wear designer, Neil Young’s bridal boutique. Neil brought his eccentric designer skills to the bridal forefront. He also accommodated Darcel D. Vlugt of House of VanderVlugt who debut her VDV Accessories line of Swarovski and pearl statement collections for the tour guests.
The fourth fashion stop concluded the bridal fashion tour with a visit to the veteran in the bridal industry Meiling Esau of Meiling Inc. Meiling is known for her exceptional vision in design and her Caribbean chic aesthetic not to mention her minimalistic and timeless resort wear. Stylist, Sephanie Ramlogan was on hand to guide patrons through Meiling’s destination wedding ensembles. Sanian Lewis was also available with her pop up for her brand Sanianitos envisaging tropical inspired floral crowns and sunglasses perfect for any bride’s dream destination wedding.
This all inclusive affair was the first of its kind to the destination weddings landscape in Trinidad and Tobago.
