Kalpee has once again put Caribbean Music on the Map! On Friday 15th September, Kalpee, supported by Musical Director Joshua Salcedo on Keys / Bass and Lead Guitarist Kwami Morrison who both hail from Sangre Grande Trinidad, alongside Ghanian drummer Joey Wealthyland, the band performed a 45-minute set on The Wharf Stage at the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines

Singapore Grand Prix 2023. Kalpee delivered a modern fusion of Calypso, dancehall & Afrobeats rhythms, laced with rock inspired guitar riffs and electronic future base sounds. Supported by soulful melodies & a captivating vocal, his uplifting performance gained him and his band accolades of support from all who watched.

The band had already headlined a performance at Clarke Quay as part of the cities Grand Prix season as well as performing a forth show at *Scape Ground Theatre as part of Music Matters Live. Kalpee who was also invited to speak for a second consecutive year on a Mental Health Panel for Music Matters Academy, joined the likes of music mogul Russell Simmons, Zendyll music agency founder Jon Chua and Music Managers Stephen O’Reilly & Troy Carter (Robbie Williams / Ex- Lady Gaga).

Kalpee continues to grow & gain support in media across the globe with the likes of Radio1, BBC 1Xtra and Capital Xtra in the UK and Kiss 92 FM in Singapore to name just a few. Having hit No 4 in the UK MW Black Chart end of last year and spending 10 weeks in the Top 20 with “Island Gyal”, Kalpee continues to build on his past music releases which include singles with Dancehall Queen SteffLon Don & Jamaican singer Mortimer.
