Delano Manganoo on the International Caribbean Dance Festival

El Viviendo Pasion Dance Academy (EVP) is a registered dance school under the tutelage of IDTA Trained Artistic Director, Delano Manganoo and tutors students in various dance disciplines which include Latin, Ballroom, Hip Hop, Bollywood, Contemporary and Ballet and has been in existence for the past ten years.

One of Delano’s objectives for the school this year is to host the International Caribbean Dance Festival which was established in 2015, from the 12th to 14th August 2016, at OWTU Palms Club, San Fernando, with an international judging panel, and participating countries of Bahamas, Barbados, Antigua and our sister isle Tobago. He wants to showcase the talent of young people in the Caribbean and subsequently grow the competition in the area of sports.  “As part of the main attraction, we hope to be having the current World Games Dance Champs Jefferson and Adrianita from Colombia, Sekou McMiller Tutor and Choreographer of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, New York and Naam Thomas, IDTA Caribbean Latin Champion of Barbados, who will be performing and conducting workshops” says Manganoo.  This would serve as a great privilege to the local dance fraternity as many young and upcoming dancers may not have the opportunity to benefit from the tutorship of these professional dancers.
