Sometimes the best community stories are found in the middle of an ordinary day.
While visiting the lobby of Massy Stores at The Shops at Trincity in Macoya, we met Listra Solameade, founder of Sola’s Blend Homemade Wines, proudly sharing her handcrafted local wines with shoppers.
What stood out was not just the product, but the heart behind it.

Listra shared that after retirement, COVID, and the passing of her mother, she found herself searching for something meaningful to do. Instead of slowing down, she started creating. That journey led to the birth of Sola’s Blend, a homemade wine business built on passion, patience and personal strength.
Today, her brand includes an extensive range of flavours, including passion fruit, sorrel, pommerac, guava, melon, five fingers, pineapple, ginger, pumpkin, cashew, tamarind, saffron, jamun, coffee, apple, grape, Portugal, infused blends and mango.
Her story is bigger than wine. It is about purpose. It is about choosing to keep going. It is about turning quiet seasons of life into something productive and beautiful.
We also want to thank Ms Lyndia St. Clair and the team at Massy Stores for giving Listra permission to sell her products in the store lobby. That kind of support matters. It gives local entrepreneurs real visibility and gives the community a chance to discover people building something of value right in their own area.
At Trincity Times, these are the stories worth telling. Stories of courage, reinvention and community support. If you have a story worth telling in your community, email Trincity Times – trincitytimes@omgtt.com.
