A young man from Sangre Grande who has worked for years on the rugby field and in the classroom has earned a partial scholarship to study in Miami. Now he needs support to make that opportunity a reality.

For Jaheim Walton, this moment did not happen overnight.

It began years ago in Sangre Grande, where a young boy first discovered rugby at the age of 8 while attending Sangre Grande Seventh-day Adventist. What started as a love for the sport grew into a journey shaped by discipline, sacrifice, hard work, and belief. From there, Jaheim joined Club Supreme in Sangre Grande and continued developing through several teams on his way to national representation.

Alongside his growth as an athlete, Jaheim also made his family proud in the classroom, earning a place at Holy Cross College and continuing to push himself toward a better future. Over the years, rugby helped open doors that many young people only dream about. He went on to represent Trinidad and Tobago in youth rugby, compete internationally, serve as vice-captain, and build a reputation for discipline and determination on and off the field.

Now, that journey has led to a major opportunity. Jaheim has been awarded a partial scholarship to attend St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida. It is a proud moment for him, his family, and everyone who has watched him grow. But while the scholarship covers part of the cost, there are still major expenses to cover, including travel, tuition, and relocation.

That is why Jaheim is now asking for help.

This is bigger than a donation. This is a chance to help a young man continue a journey he has been working toward since he was a little boy. It is a chance to support discipline, purpose, and potential. It is an opportunity to help someone in our community take a life-changing step forward.

If you have ever believed that talent should be matched with opportunity, this is one of those moments to show it.
